Happy Birthday to my little Miss Cheriese!

I really can't believe how quickly the year has gone, my little girl is one year old already. I don't feel ready to leave the baby years behind just yet... but they have gone, I officially have a toddler now - especially since she has been walking now for the last month already too!

There are so many things that Cheriese is doing now:
- Walking and climbing
- talking, says "mama", "dada", "buba", "pretty", "Awww" (when she gives kisses and cuddles), and sings the "la dee da dee da" part to the d'glumph song and lots of general babbling which I wish I could understand as it sounds very interesting
- gives lots of cuddles and kisses, and can even blow kisses
- loves feeding herself and often refuses food if she can't have her own spoon
- is still happily breastfed
- laughs lots, especially at the funny faces Jai pulls for her
and generally delights us all constantly

Here's a photo diary of how we spent her special day.

Present time! She loved the card and walked around looking at it saying "bubba" for a few minutes - I made her card with photos of her on it.:
Cuddles with her new special dolly, you can see her better on Donna's blog here:

Kisses this time:

More kisses with her 'everyday' doll:

Jordan trying to get Cheriese to model the dress I made for her:

Bouncing around on her Fisher Price 'bounce and spin zebra':

Fun on the swings at the park with Jai later in the morning:

Her first cupcake - a very mini one that Jai helped me make with the left over batter from her cake:

Photo shoot in the afternoon in the dress I made her. The pattern is called "Milly Lily" and you can get it from the Handmade Dress site here:
While using some flowers to try to keep her distracted (and still for more than 1 second!) I snapped this photo which shows that this pattern would also make a gorgeous flower girl dress:

Close up of the adorable Cinderella ribbon:
Then after dinner it was time for the birthday cake. Jai picked out the heart shaped cake tin and I topped it off with some yummy cream cheese frosting. I couldn't believe my luck when I found the cute little unicorn candles:

We all had such a lovely day - I boycotted all housework, except the bare necessities and spent lots of time cuddling, kissing, playing and chatting to my special birthday girl. With this weekend being easter, we are having her party next Sunday - so there'll be lots more photos to come yet!
