I'm a Bag Lady ; )

Here are the bags that I've been making lately. These are so addictive and now that I've played around with the basic shape I'm excited about making more in different shapes / sizes and adding inner pockets etc!

These ones are simple shoulder bags made from cotton fabric:

And my favourite, embroidered silk with bamboo handles:

Thanks for looking!

Thise bags are amazing Nataie. Do they take long to make? Is it special fabric, or just general cotton?
I am thinking Christmas big time!!

Beautiful Natalie! And very professional looking pics too. What kind of interfacing are you using? They look so nice and 'stiff' iykwim.

Thanks for all your lovely comments!

The interfacing I use is from SL - don't know the name of it, but it is pretty thick. It's white and iron on - costs $2 a metre. I have learnt now to iron it to the lining piece now as sometimes I do get a little ripple if I'm not careful. At least if it's on the lining, you can't see it! The material I use is 100% cotton, most from SL, but I've started getting addicted to all the lovely fat quarters as various quilt fabric suppliers now too! (those ones feel a lot softer, higher thread count).
Thanks again everyone.
