Another first!

Well I have another first, well actually two more firsts lol!!! I made my first pair of shorts and also did my first applique too.
View of the back pockets:
Jai trying to give me a hug to say Thank you! Thanks for being such a good boy for having your photos taken Jai (he's becoming quite the little poser isn't he? lol)

The shorts are a Burda pattern 9793 and although were difficult to follow the instructions at times, I found the pattern itself easy and pretty much put it together in my own way (I love it when I can do that!). I used some camo print fabric that I found in a bag of remnants at SL which was $4.00 for the whole bag which also had some denim and other bits in it, so I guess you could say that the shorts probably work out at $2!!! How great is that?!

I found some white T-shirts going out in packs of 2 for only $1.20, so the matching T-shirt works out to around 60cents - so here's a entire outfit for only $2.60!!!

I must give thanks to my husband Steve for helping me design the applique shape - I was trying random shapes that just looked weired and then Steve drew me a tank for me to copy onto the fabric - so now it matches perfectly. He says I have to now go buy some blue camo so he can design a Navy plane for the next set lol!

Thanks for looking.
Natalie xx

That looks really good Natalie. I have the same camo fabric from SL that I picked up , end of roll for $1. I was going to make shorts for DS as well, but I will wait till he really needs the shorts. Love the tank t-shirt too. Can I ask where you got the tshirt from?

Great job!! I LOVE the tank! I would love to know where the t-shirt was from too... and what sizes they were! I am having an awful time finding white t-shirts at the moment!
