A little dress

Here is the dress I have made for my friend's daughter, Savanna . It was supposed to be part of her 1st birthday present, but I ran out of time - I have finally gotten the time to sit down and do it.

I took inspiration from Ingrid and used Jai as my little model lol. Steve isn't too happy, but a dress definitely looks better on a child than on a hanger. Jai didn't seem to mind anyway!

A couple of front views:
And the back view:
It's a little short on Jai, but Savanna has just turned 1 so I'm hoping it will fit her ok!

Tomorrow I'm hoping to finish the pants, bought some denim and am going to use the same hot pink top stitching and have cut out a flower of the dress fabric to applique onto the leg too. It's all cut out and ready to go so shouldn't take me too long.

Here's the pattern I used:
Can't wait to give it to her on Sunday!

Natalie, I love the dress and Jai looks cure too. You girls are so mean using your boys to model dresses but I at least you can use the photos at their 21st's

Well done. And no mistaking Jai for a girl - I'm sure your DH is happy about that!
