I am in love with these pants:
I think they are just so cute with the little ruffles on the butt! I used this pattern (oooh, even took the photo with the intended fabric too lol!) and thankfully it was super easy and nice and quick. I traced and cut out on Wednesday afternoon and sewed them up yesterday afternoon, and Cheriese has been in them pretty much since then!
Here's some modeled shots (there's a few, need some excuses to show off my adorable little girl!)
Hoping to get some time over this weekend to continue with some more sewing. I've really missed it, and I love that wonderful proud feeling of actually making something that turns out and looks so cute! Plus I bought 2 metres of this adorable fabric, so have around 1 1/2 metres left to use: think I'll make a top from the same pattern, and maybe a romper too - I already have a bib cut out that I will back with pink terry towelling.
I realised something too earlier today while editing the (bazillion) photos that I took.... quite funny that when I found out I was having a girl, I immediately started imagining sewing all these pretty little dresses but in the end the first item of clothing I make her is a pair of pants!! lol!

Natalie, I LOVE these pants! They are just adorable! The ruffle looks great. Cheriese is getting so big and is as cute as ever!!
They are gorgeous!!! I love them.
These are so utterly adorable Natalie! As is your little girl.
Such beautiful pants, they may be pants but they are girly, girly pants with such gorgeous ruffles. I'm so glad that you were able to do some sewing and hope that you can do some more soon.

Delicious Natalie - the ruffles and the adorable baby!
She's grown so much and is so sweet.
Well done on the pants - they are lovely.
Aww, the pants are so cute and so is the model.
I find myself dressing DD more in pants when she was young anyway, much easier than dresses when she was crawling.
Very cute model and pants!
I had to LOL at your final paragraph. Years ago (as in well before DH and I were even engaged, so maybe 1997!) I recall telling him I couldn't wait to have children to sew cute little clothes for. Well, I stopped making clothes long before we had children, and I've not made either of them a single thing to wear! Eleanor may get some skirts/dresses eventually if I have a break between quilts, but I doubt it!
How very sweet. The pants are adorable too.
Natalie, extremely cute pants and an extremely cute Cheriese. I can't believe how big she is getting
Natalie, your girl is just so gorgeous, so grown up already! Love the little pants, very cute. So glad you were able to get some sewing done this week.
Cute Cute Cute!!!
And adorable she is!
Pants are cute too.
Beautiful pants for a Beautiful girl! I love them! :o)
FANTASTIC pants! And sadly dresses are no good until they're 2 years old (trip hazards!)
