think I'll add another pink bow to the canopy part as well ;)
Yesterday I finished sewing up the baby wipes I'd started cutting out earlier in the week. I had a bit of a chuckle to myself at how careful I was being, I mean in the end they are just going to be used to wipe a dirty little bottom, but I was as proud of them as any other outfit I could've been making lol.
After looking online, I went with what I saw as the most popular fabric combination, soft flanelette on one side and terry toweling on the other. Might get another half metre or so of the same fabric to make up a few more, think I might need a little bit more than 20 of them!
And here's some progress photos of the nursery - still not 100% finished (you can see some boxes waiting for assembly still in the corner, one is a shelf and the other is a toy/storage box) but the painting and wallpaper border is all done. Steve is just about to start putting the cot together and I need to get some curtains - will check out the Spotlight sale tomorrow!

Oh Natalie, it all looks so gorgeous and just perfect for that treasure you are soon to be holding.
Natalie the room looks wonderful. You put me to shame, Lucy's room is still a shambles
Oh Natalie, everytings coming together beautifully! You already have some unicorns for her, that is just adorable!
Cute wipes fabric! Yep, terry and flannel are the best combo for wipes as they are not too thick. The terry side does the grabbing, then you fold them in half and the flannel side does the rinsing and last little clean up. To make things easier on you sewing things, why don't you round the corners off? You can cut them all as rectangles then use a small bowl to trace around, or just do them freehand as you serge them. It means no stopping and starting on the overlocker and also longer lasting wipes as there is only one end that might come unravelled through all that washing. That's how I did mine and they are still going strong after 2.25 yrs. I did about 20 at firts but then found I needed about 40 as there are a lot of icky nappies in the first few months and you use more than one wipe on several of them. HTH :)
The room looks really great. Love the unicorn border...fantastic idea.
