I'm really excited about my good news today.... I have just discovered that Brown Owls now has an Adelaide group. Their next meet is next Wednesday night. I cant' wait! I've been looking for a craft group to go to for ages now, but the few I've found are run during the day which isn't suitable for me with my two of my little darlings still at home with me. Steve bought me the "Meet me at Mikes" book for mother's day and there are so many projects that I have on my to-do list, so it's very apt that the theme of next week's meeting is crochet! I've been eyeing off the granny square project in the book, so now have a good time to tackle it. I was blog surfing last night and stumbled across Gillian's post with all the details, then jumped on over to get my membership. Poor Steve took awhile to work out what I was rambling on about when I told him all about it, I had to slow down and explain it properly. I think he's almost as excited as I am, he's been encouraging me to get out and about more for some "me" time.
I am a bit nervous though, I don't think I will know anybody there...... oh well, one of the nicest things with the crafting community is that friendships are fast to form.

Oh, how exciting! It might be just what you need! How do you find out where these things are? Adelaide is a bit far for me....
You'll have a ball! I'm suddenly wishing I was still living there lol Be sure to tell us how it goes. BTW...it's great to have you back blogging :-)
My reaction was very much the same as yours! Tonight was great fun and yes, crafty folk are very friendly.
